A smart city is an urban area that uses different types of electronic methods and sensors to collect data. It predominantly consists of information and communication technologies(ICT) to develop sustainable growth and urbanization in the cities. In these smart cities, the devices with sensors embedded in it communicate with each other. In the new era of IoT, the internet of vehicles(IoV) is considered as the evolution of internet-based driving. In IoV where vehicles communicate with each other. In this research three optimization algorithms have been applied the Any Colony, Firefly optimization and the bee colony are the algorithms applied which are used for collecting real-time from many vehicles in the progress of furnishing them with congestion-free routes. Many parameters affect the selection of routes for destinations. The experiment results were conducted with two simulators NS2 and SUMO. These simulators which improved in the process of reducing the travel time of the vehicles when the entire system was considered.
